How to come to the mathematics departement:

If you are not in Guadeloupe:

There are at least two daily flights from Paris (Orly or Charles de Gaulle) to Pointe-à-Pitre (airport code PTP).
(The «PTP» airport is located in the surroundings of Le Raizet city, about ten minutes (by car) from university.)
There are other direct flights to PTP, in particular from Miami, Cayenne, Cuba, and from other islands of the Antilles.

If you are in Guadeloupe:

Take a bus (or better a taxi: about 15 Euros ($15) from the airport) to «(campus de) Fouillole».
The campus is located next to the «marina» of Pointe-à-Pitre, at the border of the city, in direction of "Le Gosier" city.

If you are at the entrance of the campus:

Climb up the way to access the "esplanade" of the campus.
When you reach it, you have to your left hand the so-called administrative building, and to your right hand the research building.
Continue straight on, climbing 3 stairs, and see «in front of the research building», below.

If you are at the Marina of Pointe-à-Pitre (where are located most hotels close to the campus):

Go towards the highway :
By foot on the sidewalk, you will use a small passage to the left just before arriving at the big crossroads «Blanchard» (i.e. the highway), then cross a field and climb up to the esplanade of the campus. The research building will be straight before you, a little to the left.
By car you turn around 3/4 of the «Blanchard» crossroads (you wait at 3 stops where you don't have priority) and then turn to the left after about 1 km, at the entrance of Fouillole campus. If you don't have the access card and the guard is not ready to open the barrier, you have to park down there; then see above: «at the entrance of the campus».

If you are in front of the research building:

To the left (a little below), there is a small snack bar; the mathematics departement is on the corridor at ground floor to the left; the secretariate is at halfway in this corridor, the fourth door (the unique metal door).
If before entering the corridor of mathematics you turn to the left (in between the snack bar and research building) you come into the «amphi Mérault» building. Here take place the seminars on the first floor (rooms EH...) and big conferences in the Mérault amphitheatre at ground floor.
(In this building is also located an office of the I.R.E.M. Antilles-Guyane (Inst.of Research on Teaching of Mathematics), of which the current and former director (prof. J.-A. Marti and A. Delcroix) are also members of the A.O.C. group.)
